“Let’s have children study the violin as a way to acquire a beautiful heart, artful sensibility and refined abilities”.
Shinichi Suzuki
Hi, I’m Cecilia!
I’m a professional violinist and a very passionate and dedicated violin teacher. I’m originally from Italy, where I’ve studied violin and viola, and I came to the Netherlands for deepening the baroque performance practice at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and at the Utrecht Conservatorium.
Along with performing, I’ve always loved to teach violin. I have experience both with beginners and intermediates of all ages. I’m trained in the Suzuki method, a great approach for teaching music and violin playing from a very young age (3 y.o.), together with the parent. According with Dr. Suzuki, the purpose of learning to play an instrument is to enrich our own soul and the soul of our children, so to become better persons in life!
For me, the love for music and the enjoyment of playing an instrument get along with setting good and healthy fundamentals and gaining a feeling of self-accomplishment and self-ability. Step by step, I try to lead my students to enjoy the violin and the music to the fullest and make it easy to play!
I am a certified Suzuki teacher for level 1 and level 2 and I can teach in English, Italian, and Dutch.
