SCHOOL YEAR PROGRAM - SUZUKI METHOD FOR KIDS FROM 4 Y.O. TO 21 Y.O.
The 2024-2025 school year begins the week of August 26th and ends the week of July 7th (inclusive).
It consists of 40 weeks of lessons divided into two blocks of 20 weeks each. Holidays align with the Dutch school calendar.

The program includes:

  • Weekly individual Suzuki lessons of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on the student's age and level.

  • 4-5 Suzuki group classes throughout the school year focusing on Suzuki repertoire.

  • 5-6 group lesson weeks during the school year with various repertoires. During these weeks, group lessons will replace individual lessons.

  • Participation in the annual concert with all students and teachers of Strijkdomein.

  • Participation in a solo recital for my students once a year.

LESSON DAYS AND LOCATIONS (subject to availability):

  • Monday 14:00-18:45 at the Koning Kerk in Voorburg
    (Bruijnings Ingenhoeslaan 4, Voorburg).

  • Wednesday 12:00-18:30 at the music school Strijkdomein
    (Piet Heinplein 50, Den Haag).

  • Suzuki group classes (4-5 times per school year): Saturdays, morning or afternoon at Strijkdomein.

  • Group lesson weeks (5-6 times per school year): always at Strijkdomein.

FIRST MEETING/TRIAL LESSON
If you’re interested in starting Suzuki violin lessons with me, the best approach is to observe one or more of my lessons! You can also book a 30-minute trial lesson/informal chat with me to get to know each other and learn more about the Suzuki method. This first meeting is free of charge.
After the trial lesson, you can register your child in my program through a link I’ll send.

RATES AND PAYMENTS (2024-2025)
Tuition is divided into two blocks of 20 weeks each. At the start of each block (end of August and beginning of February), you’ll receive an invoice. Invoices must be paid in advance. Monthly payments can be arranged if agreed upon beforehand.
If starting mid-block, tuition will be prorated based on the number of weeks remaining in that block.
Tuition covers all activities mentioned in the program description, including individual lessons, group classes, and participation in the annual concert and solo recital.

GROUP LESSONS (children and teenagers only) - at Strijkdomein:
About every two months, the weekly individual lesson will be replaced by a group lesson week at Strijkdomein. During these weeks, students can attend as many group classes as they wish, practicing Suzuki repertoire, Christmas songs, or preparing for the final annual concert with all Strijkdomein students.

CANCELLATION AND LESSON RESCHEDULING
If you are unable to attend a lesson, you must cancel it via the scheduling app.
If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance, you are entitled to reschedule. You can book a new lesson time via the scheduling app, and you have until the end of the current term to do so.
If you cancel within 24 hours or don’t show up, you will forfeit the lesson and the opportunity to reschedule. Missed lessons are non-refundable.
If I need to cancel a lesson, I will provide an alternative lesson slot.

HOW TO TERMINATE THE PROGRAM
If you wish to stop the lessons, please inform me two weeks in advance.
You can leave at any time, but I recommend completing at least the current block. Unused lessons in the block will not be refunded.
